I don't read french, how may I understand the tsumego problems ?

Problems and solutions are sent in french (our mother tongue) and english. You will not have any problem understanding questions and answers.

What is a tsumego ?

It's a life and death problems. Depending on the problem, the question is "White / Black lives" or "White / Black kills", or for a little more advanced problems "Black / White lives / kills unconditionally" that means without a ko.

Why tsumego ?

Solving tsumego is considered as the basic training for all go players, from beginners to professionnal players. It will improve your reading ability, and help you rescuing endangered groups.

You will receive problems of different levels : each week a 20 kyu problem, a 10 kyu problem, a 1 Dan problem and from time to time a 5 dan problem.

What is sgf ?

The SGF file format is designed to create and store Go game records. It's a text-only format, widely used by the Go community.
